NFL Offensive Player of the Year Odds 2024-25: Barkley Still Heavily Favored Despite Stumble
Ja'Marr Chase continues to ride high, producing 94 receiving yards during the Cincinnati Bengals' 37-27 win on Sunday.
That came right after his 177-yard two-touchdown eruption against the Dallas Cowboys under the bright lights of Monday Night Football. As a result, his top NFL Offensive Player of the Year odds have moved from +2200 to +500 over the past two weeks at our NFL prop betting sites, shuffling his win probability from 4.35% to 16.67%.
Meanwhile, Saquon Barkley experienced an exceedingly rare sputtering week with only 65 yards during a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers when a leg injury hampered him. However, he's built in plenty of room for error while still sitting atop the board, even if his odds shifted from -450 to -350.
Derrick Henry was once a much stronger contender in this market. But he's now run for 70 or fewer yards in three of his last five games, plunging his odds from +900 to +2500.
Here's a look at the OPOY favorites as we gaze ahead to the NFL Week 16 odds.
NFL Offensive Player of the Year odds 2024-25
Live NFL Offensive Player of the Year odds from our best NFL betting sites.
- Barkley has helped his Philadelphia Eagles become one of the Super Bowl odds front-runners, and they've now won 10 straight games
- He's still comfortably ahead, though there's also a growing chasm between Chase and the rest of the field, with the wideout getting a 16.67% probability compared to the 7.69% for Josh Allen in third
- Allen, the prohibitive NFL MVP odds favorite, remains sizzling hot, and he produced four combined passing and rushing touchdowns during a key victory Sunday over the Detroit Lions
NFL Offensive Player of the Year odds favorites 2024-25
Saquon Barkley (-350)
Barkley has more than earned a stumble, and it finally came against the Steelers and their fourth-ranked run defense.
He averaged only 3.4 yards per carry en route to 74 yards from scrimmage, though he was dinged up and dealing with at least a minor leg issue.
His margin for error in this Offensive Player of the Year race is many miles wide. Barkley has already become the Eagles' single-season rushing record-holder, and his gap atop the rushing yards leaderboard is massive despite his off week (1,688 to 1,474 for Henry). And he's still averaging an absurd and league-leading 120.6 yards per game.
Barkley is far ahead of the field while trading as sort as -400 through several of our best NFL parlay betting sites. A $10 bet at the -350 from FanDuel would lead to only a $2.86 profit.
Best odds: -350 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 77.78%
Ja'Marr Chase (+500)
We said it would probably take Barkley and Henry falling off a cliff for anyone else to win this award. Henry has done his part in that regard, but it'll require far more than a one-week blip from Barkley.
Nonetheless, Chase has been adding at least a sprinkle of intrigue to the market late in the season.
He's now accumulated 271 yards over his last two games, 177 of which came against the Cowboys on Monday Night Football. He didn't score this past week, but that ended a stretch of four games when Chase incredibly reached pay dirt eight times.
He's enjoying a prolific campaign after his early-season contract issues and has earned the best chance of anyone not named Barkley to win the award.

My NFL Offensive Player of the Year odds player to watch
Derrick Henry (+2500)
Henry's odds have lengthened significantly, which is expected since he hasn't been producing as much at a top-tier level lately. His odds have plummeted from +900 to +2500, an implied probability downturn of 10% to 3.85%
The king was in the pole position not long ago while looking like he'd zoom out to an insurmountable lead. That was before the Ravens stopped using him like a workhorse.
He's now averaging 84.6 rushing yards over his last five games, and even that number is inflated due to his 140 yards against the Chargers sandwiched between three outings with 70 or fewer yards. Henry also now hasn't scored in three straight games.
However, there's a dramatic difference between the odds at BetRivers and what some of our other best sportsbooks are offering for Henry. Most notably, the +1600 at DraftKings and the +1400 through Caesars.
Best odds: +2500 via BetRivers | Implied probability: 3.85%

How to read NFL Offensive Player of the Year odds
Reading NFL Offensive Player of the Year odds is straightforward. Odds are usually presented in a format like +500 or -200. Positive odds (e.g., +500) show how much profit you’d make on a $100 bet.
For example, a $100 bet at +500 odds would win you $500, plus your original $100 stake, totaling $600. Negative odds (e.g., -200) indicate how much you need to bet to win $100. So, a $200 bet at -200 odds would win you $100, plus your $200 stake, totaling $300.
These odds also reflect the probability of a player winning the Offensive Player of the Year. Lower odds (e.g., +300) suggest a higher likelihood, while higher odds (e.g., +2000) indicate a lower probability. Sportsbooks adjust these odds based on performance, injuries, and betting patterns.
If Tyreek Hill gets +500 odds and Christian McCaffrey gets +1000, Hill is considered more likely to win. If you bet $100 on Hill and he wins, you’d get $600 back ($500 profit + $100 stake). Understanding these odds helps you make informed betting decisions and assess potential returns.
