The Dallas Cowboys host the Houston Texans, as the two struggling teams look to get right on Monday Night Football.

Despite losing three of their last four games, the latest Monday Night Football odds have the Texans favored by 7 points for their 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff (ESPN/ABC) at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. In what could be a mismatch, I pick my favorite Texans vs. Cowboys MNF prop bets based on the odds from our NFL prop betting sites.

Joe Mixon, a feature of Mike Spector's Texans vs. Cowboys prediction, will look to rebound from a poor performance against a weak run defense, while Nico Collins finally returns to the field after being removed from the injury report. And with Cooper Rush under center, are any Cowboy offensive players worth looking at?

After four consecutive 100-yard games, Mixon had a miserable performance against the Detroit Lions. He finished with 25 carries for just 46 yards, an average of 1.8 yards per attempt. It was his second game this season below three yards per carry, and his first below two.

Mixon gets a great matchup this week. While the Lions have the sixth-best run defense in football, the Cowboys rank 31st. They’re allowing 152.1 rushing yards per game, and 4.7 yards per carry. Mixon carried the ball at least 24 times in each of his last four games.

If he does that again on Monday, he will crush this number.

This is a four-star play because the Texans could win by so much that Mixon doesn’t get his usual number of carries. This happened last week when Eagles running back Saquon Barkley attempted only 14 rushes and was “held” to 66 yards against Dallas.

Brenden Schaeffer is also backing Mixon in his Texans vs. Cowboys parlay picks.

Jalen Tolbert anytime touchdown scorer ⭐⭐⭐

Despite allowing the third-fewest yards in the league this season, the Texans’ defense can’t keep opposing wide receivers out of the end zone. They’re allowing 2.1 passing touchdowns per game, which ranks second-worst in the NFL.

With Cooper Rush under center, the Cowboys’ passing attack is hardly intimidating. They’re even less scary if CeeDee Lamb can’t play this week. The star receiver is questionable, and while reports indicate that he will play, the best value for this game is for Tolbert to score. Tolbert has three touchdown receptions this season, which is just one fewer than Lamb. He is also the recipient of Rush’s lone touchdown pass.

Prices for Tolbert to score range from +310 to +420. The +310 odds suggest that Tolbert has a nearly 25% chance of scoring in this game, while +420 suggests a less than 20% chance while returning a profit of $42 on a winning $10 bet.

Nico Collins Over 71.5 receiving yards ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: -110 via bet365 | Implied probability: 52.38%

Collins has officially been removed from the injury report, and he will play on Monday night. The receiver has 567 yards in 4.5 games this season, and he’s gone for at least 78 yards in each of his appearances.

While the Cowboys’ run defense is their real weakness, their pass defense has struggled as well. They’ve given up 210.8 yards per game, which ranks in the bottom half of the league, and they’re allowing 11.6 yards per completion, third-worst in the league.

Collins is averaging 17.7 yards per completion, so even if he gets fewer catches on Monday, he should be able to exploit a defense that struggles against deep-threat receivers. This isn’t a five-star play because Collins may be limited returning from injury. But if he sees his full usage, then there’s no reason to expect him to set a season-low in this matchup.

Mike Spector thinks that Collins might connect with his QB on one big chunk play as he makes his C.J. Stroud MNF player props.
