NFL playoff power rankings
Here is our power ranking of every team remaining in the NFL playoffs with Super Bowl odds courtesy of our best NFL betting sites.
1. Ravens (+500)
The Ravens might not have the shortest title odds entering the divisional round, but as I broke down in my NFL playoff bracket predictions, this is the best team in the NFL and the front-runner in my mind to win it all. That's an even easier case to make after they dismantled the Pittsburgh Steelers in the wild-card round to set up a heavyweight showdown with the Buffalo Bills this weekend.
2. Chiefs (+350)
I'm not ready to quit the Chiefs just yet. That's what happens when you win two Super Bowls and sleepwalk your way to 15 wins in a crowded AFC - you tend to earn the benefit of the doubt. We've seen what Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid, and this Kansas City core is capable of when that postseason switch flips, and I'm still expecting that time to come.
3. Lions (+340)
Injuries have knocked Detroit down a peg in my mind, even though it feels like the general public is discounting what this team is capable of when Ben Johnson's offense is humming. Our best sports betting apps are clearly offering no such discount on the NFC's top seed ahead of its matchup with the Washington Commanders.
4. Bills (+550)
How can you not be impressed by what Josh Allen did to one of the best defenses in the league on Sunday? The Bills quarterback put on a show to remind everyone why he was once the NFL MVP odds favorite, and Buffalo's defense made Bo Nix look like a rookie in his playoff debut. I still lean toward Baltimore in these teams' matchup in Round 2, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if either side parlayed a win into a Super Bowl run.
5. Eagles (+500)
I'll be honest: I didn't walk away from Sunday's win over the Green Bay Packers feeling any better about this team's ability to make a deep run. Yet I already felt the Eagles had a solid foundation after running roughshod through the NFC in the regular season, and I still believe Jalen Hurts is capable of more than he showed in the wild-card round. He'll need to be for this team to ultimately beat the likes of Baltimore, Kansas City, and Detroit.
6. Rams (+2200)
I had the Rams making a run to the Super Bowl in my NFL playoff predictions even before Monday's blowout win over the Minnesota Vikings, so don't mistake this ranking for a lack of confidence in Los Angeles. Objectively, this team isn't better than the "core five" that have dominated the title odds all year long, but I trust Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford to make the right calls in the right moments to beat those teams, anyway.
7. Commanders (+3000)
I picked the Commanders to upset the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the wild-card round, and I wouldn't be surprised if they give Detroit's defense all it can handle in the divisional round. This defense still isn't playing to the caliber of most (any?) of the other teams left in the playoffs, though, even if Jayden Daniels is playing like a quarterback you can trust in the postseason.
8. Texans (+5500)
The Texans somewhat shockingly rolled the Los Angeles Chargers in the wild-card opener after looking totally lifeless for the final month of the regular season. So which version will show up next weekend against the two-time reigning champions? Color me skeptical that Houston's offense has found the magic elixir after losing two key weapons to injury; I'd be stunned if this isn't the end of the road for DeMeco Ryans and Co.
