Two teams are left standing and the field of true contenders by the 2025 Super Bowl MVP odds has shrunk considerably ahead of the Sunday, Feb. 9, showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

The Super Bowl MVP odds were first posted at the onset of the 2025 NFL playoffs. The field has shrunk with each passing round and former top contenders Jared Goff, Lamar Jackson, and Josh Allen are among those who'll be watching at home in less than two weeks.

Here are the latest 2025 Super Bowl MVP odds following the NFC and AFC Championship Games as we await the title game between the Chiefs and Eagles, with the Super Bowl odds listing the Chiefs as favorites.

Super Bowl MVP odds 2025

2025 Super Bowl MVP odds favorite

Super Bowl MVP odds listed below via DraftKings as of Sunday, Feb. 26.

Patrick Mahomes (+110)

Mahomes once again showed off his legs in a playoff victory. His two rushing touchdowns helped push Kansas City past the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship for the second time during the Chiefs' dynastic run.

The Chiefs are the two-time defending Super Bowl champions, and Mahomes was crowned Super Bowl MVP each time. Now Kansas City is once again the favorite by the Super Bowl opening odds to beat a team it already bested two years ago on this stage.

It would take an otherworldly performance by someone else from the Chiefs to win this award over their quarterback in a historic three-peat for the team.

2025 Super Bowl MVP odds: Dark-horse contenders

Saquon Barkley (+250)

If there was an award for NFL playoffs MVP, Barkley might have it on ice ahead of the Super Bowl. The first-year Eagles running back entered Sunday's NFC Championship with a league-high 324 rushing yards, along with two touchdowns, in the postseason. He added three scores and 118 rushing yards against the Washington Commanders.

Jalen Hurts (+300)

Hurts passed for a total of 259 yards in the Eagles' first two postseason wins. He then completed 20 of 28 passes for 246 yards and a touchdown on Sunday while adding three rushing scores on 10 attempts (16 yards).

Should the Chiefs somehow contain Barkley in the Big Game, Hurts' tush could get pushed all the way to this award.

Super Bowl MVP prediction & long shot

Jalen Carter (+7000)

There's no critiquing the top three names on the oddsboard and why they're there. However, outside of a bet on Mahomes at +110, I'll prefer to look to the long shots.

Carter, the ninth overall pick two years ago, was named a second-team All-Pro in his sophomore season after recording 4.5 sacks and two forced fumbles. He forced another fumble in the divisional round, and he had seven sacks over the first two playoff games.

If the Eagles are to stop the Chiefs, it'll take serious disruption from the defense. A winning $10 bet at these +7000 odds would return a profit of $700.
