The Baltimore Ravens have been back to looking like a punishing rushing machine for a while now, leading to one of the beasts in the AFC regaining its position as a leading Super Bowl odds contender.

The Ravens have reeled off four straight wins, all with NFL MVP odds candidate Lamar Jackson leading the way through his usual brand of dual-threat explosiveness. A stumbling start with a loss to the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs and a stunning defeat to the Las Vegas Raiders is becoming a distant memory.

Baltimore is commonly a 3.5-point favorite in the Monday Night Football odds as the club prepares to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 7 during prime time. The Bucs are contenders in a tough NFC South as midseason approaches, and their top-tier offense is fresh off hanging 51 points on the New Orleans Saints during a win.

Will offensive fireworks be erupting all night throughout a game with two high-octane units and mediocre defenses? We explore that and more in our Ravens vs. Buccaneers early picks.

These two teams have been offensive infernos.

The Ravens' offense leads the league in yards per game, and it's not especially close. The group is averaging 463.7 yards, with the next closest team resting at 420.

That lofty perch has been reached largely on the strength of Jackson's wizardry. The defending NFL MVP has thrown for 10 touchdown passes with just two interceptions while averaging 8.7 yards per attempt, only a few ticks behind league leader Jared Goff (8.9).

He's been achieving that brilliance in part because an unfairly gifted passer has found a new area to excel in every game.

Combine Jackson's athleticism (67.2 rushing yards per game) with NFL Offensive Player of the Year odds front-runner Derrick Henry and his bulldozing (an absurd 117.3 yards on the ground per game), and the Ravens' offense can dice up defenses in many ways.

But the Bucs' unit isn't far behind while ranking sixth in rushing and ninth in passing. A resurgent Chris Godwin has been factoring in heavily while scoring in three straight games and ranking third leaguewide with 511 receiving yards. And rookie running back Bucky Irving has been impressing too with his 5.7 yards per carry.

The skilled group of offensive playmakers on both sides will be going up against struggling defenses that rank 20th (Tampa) and 24th (Baltimore) in points allowed per game. Take the Over with confidence as part of your NFL Week 7 predictions.

Moneyline

There's marginal value to be found for Ravens moneyline backers through DraftKings and BetMGM. Those two sites are alone among our best sportsbooks while listing Baltimore at -185, while others are at -190. There's less unison regarding the Buccaneers, with BetMGM offering +165, while DraftKings is down at +154.

It may be wise to wait if you want to throw your money behind the favorties, as Baltimore's moneyline has lengthened notably already after opening at around -220.

Spread

  • Ravens best odds: -3.5 (-110) via Bet365
  • Buccaneers best odds: +3.5 (-105) via FanDuel

There's a whole lot of agreement here early in the week, with all of our best sports betting sites offering the same number, and most landing on standard -110 odds for both sides. The exception is FanDuel, which features a slightly better price for the underdog Buccaneers.

Patience could be the right approach here too, as this line started out with the Ravens as the 4.5-point favorites through bet365. However, there's nearly even money coming in on both sides.

Over/Under

  • Over best odds: 48.5 (-105) via FanDuel
  • Under best odds: 48.5 (-110) via Caesars

There's a similar story with the total, and a near consensus for now throughout our best sports betting apps. Each one is again posting the same number at 48.5, though FanDuel is making Over backers pay a smidge less juice at -105. That's happening despite the Over getting significantly more support so far while drawing 68% of the action.

The number has gone on a bit of a journey at some of the best live betting sites since opening at 47.5, moving as high as 50 before returning to 48.5. But it's bound to move upward again with so much backing going toward the Over.
