Rams vs. Eagles Prediction, Picks & Odds Today: NFL Divisional Round
The Los Angeles Rams enter a hostile environment while trying to upset the Philadelphia Eagles during the divisional round. Kickoff takes place from Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET (NBC/Peacock).
I look back on the Week 12 clash between the two squads in my Rams vs. Eagles prediction, which is when Philadelphia walked away with a dominant 37-20 victory. However, the outcome could be different now given the strides the Rams have been making since then, especially on defense.
My predictions below are part of our NFL Divisional Round predictions and expand on Andrew Brennan's Rams vs. Eagles early picks.

Rams vs. Eagles ATS prediction: NFL Divisional Round
Rams to cover the spread: +6.5 ⭐⭐
Best odds: -115 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 53.49%
Rams improved defense
In the Week 12 win over Los Angeles, Philadelphia rushed for 314 yards as running back Saquon Barkley accounted for a franchise-record 255 yards. I expect a confident Rams defense to show up in this one after last week’s performance.
Since the regular-season matchup against the Eagles, the Rams have improved defensively. Excluding Week 18, when they rested several starters, they've allowed 14 or fewer points in five of the last six games and single digits in four straight.
The most impressive part of last week’s defensive performance against the Vikings was how many players got involved.
Los Angeles had 20 different players with a tackle, 12 recorded at least one pressure, and eight had a tackle for loss. The Rams also made history with eight players recording at least a half-sack, the most in a playoff game since sacks were first tracked in 1982.
Philadelphia relies too much on turnovers
The Eagles have thrived on turnovers of late, forcing four or more in three of their last four games. Philadelphia has scored 111 points off turnovers, the third-most in the league.
However, Los Angeles has allowed only 40 points off turnovers, tied for the fifth-fewest. And the Rams only had 14 giveaways all season, tied with the Kansas City Chiefs for the fourth-fewest.
Trust McVay on short rest
The Rams are at a scheduling disadvantage, having played the only wild-card game on Monday last week, but Rams head coach Sean McVay has made playing on short rest look like it's easy to overcome.
McVay is 16-7 ATS in his career in games on short rest, covering seven of the last eight and 12 of the last 14. And since trading for QB Matthew Stafford, the Rams are 8-2 ATS in this spot.
FanDuel is a half-point higher than our other best sports betting apps who offer a spread of +6, so I am willing to pay up slightly to the -115 odds.

Matthew Stafford longest pass completion Under 35.5 yards ⭐⭐⭐
Best odds: -114 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 53.27%
Stafford averaged 202 passing yards over the last seven games and now faces an Eagles defense that has allowed the NFL’s lowest yards per attempt average (6.0).
In their Week 12 meeting, Stafford did not complete a single 30-yard pass as he struggled to push the ball downfield.
On throws 15 yards or fewer in that matchup, Stafford completed 22 of 31 passes for 200 yards. On throws of 16 or more yards, Stafford was 2-of-5 for 43 yards, with 27 of those yards coming on a touchdown pass in garbage time with 1:12 left.
Stafford has yet to complete a 30-yard pass in three consecutive games, and I do not expect him to break that streak in the cold Philadelphia weather against a stingy Eagles pass defense.
While our other best sportsbooks have an O/U of 34.5 yards for this wager, I am taking advantage of the best number at FanDuel. Through FanDuel’s -114 odds, a $10 winning wager would pay out $18.77.
Rams vs. Eagles line movement
The Eagles have been favored since the line opened, and their advantage has been progressively growing. Some of our best NFL prop betting sites listed them at -5 when the spread was first posted. They sat at -6.5 for a while, and now in the hours before kickoff many books have made the key jump to -7.
Meanwhile, the total has generally been dipping, with the weather forecast in Philadelphia around gametime surely a factor. It's not expected to be overly cold by mid-January standards, but wind gusts of up to 16-mph are projected, along with potentially a half inch of snow.
The total moved from 43.5 to as low as 41.5 at some books, though it's rebounded to 42 in many spots.
