NFL MVP Odds: Allen, Jackson the Favorites; Barkley Right Behind After Record Performance
Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson remain the betting favorites by the latest NFL MVP odds entering Week 13, but Saquon Barkley is making one heck of a case of his own after a record-setting display on Sunday Night Football.
The Philadelphia Eagles star set a new franchise record with 255 rushing yards - the ninth-most in a game in NFL history - to climb to third across our best NFL betting sites to win an award that has only gone to quarterbacks since 2012.
He still has ground to make up to catch Allen and Jackson, especially after the latter combined for three touchdowns and zero turnovers Monday to help the Baltimore Ravens beat the Los Angeles Chargers and bolster their Super Bowl odds.
Here is a look at the latest NFL MVP odds and favorites as we look ahead to the NFL Week 13 odds.

Josh Allen, QB, Bills (+155)
2024 stats: 2,543 passing yards, 18 TDs, 5 INTs, 73.2 QBR (316 rushing yards, 5 TDs)
Allen didn't play in Week 12, but he remains the clear favorite in this market after his superhuman effort last week against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Bills star threw for 262 yards and a touchdown against one of the best defenses in football. But his 26-yard scamper on 4th-and-2 put the game away and vaulted him atop the MVP oddsboard ahead of the season's final six weeks.

Lamar Jackson, QB, Ravens (+250)
2024 stats: 3,053 passing yards, 27 TDs, 3 INTs, 75.9 QBR (599 rushing yards, 3 TDs)
Jackson didn't light the world on fire in Week 12, but he did get back on track against the Chargers after his MVP case was nearly derailed last week against the Steelers.
He now leads the NFL in passing yards, touchdowns, and QBR while trailing only Barkley and teammate Derrick Henry in yards per carry (5.8). That's pretty hard to ignore, especially if the Ravens can push the Bills for a top-two seed in the AFC.
Saquon Barkley, RB, Eagles (+700)
2024 stats: 223 carries, 1,392 rushing yards, 10 TDs (27 receptions, 257 yards, 2 TDs)
Entering Sunday Night Football, Barkley was dealing at +6000 odds to become the first running back to win this award since Adrian Peterson (2012).
Then he produced one of the single-best performances in NFL history to lead the Eagles to a 9-2 record. He's been the catalyst for Philly's seven-game win streak and leads the NFL with a career-high 126.5 rushing yards per game. Is that enough to earn voters' confidence as the "most valuable" in the league?
Jared Goff, QB, Lions (+700)
2024 stats: 2,761 passing yards, 20 TDs, 9 INTs, 57.7 QBR (39 rushing yards)
After a week of "pedestrian" discourse about the former No. 1 pick, Goff didn't exactly do a ton to change the narrative - finishing with 269 yards and zero touchdowns with just two passes beyond 20 yards in a 24-6 win over the Indianapolis Colts.
He's still been ruthlessly efficient all year for the Lions, who lead the Super Bowl odds and look like the best team in football each and every week. That has to count for something in voters' minds, though he's running out of time to catch the top contenders with a few more statement performances of his own.
Patrick Mahomes, QB, Chiefs (+1400)
2024 stats: 2,979 passing yards, 19 TDs, 11 INTs, 64.6 QBR (231 rushing yards, 1 TD)
It feels like the ship may have officially sailed on the preseason MVP favorite adding a third trophy to his mantle - especially after the Chiefs barely beat the Carolina Panthers and Las Vegas Raiders over the last two weeks and have recorded nine one-score victories out of 11 total wins.
That doesn't scream MVP winner to me, nor does ranking second in interceptions (11) with more sacks (32) than he had all of last season. It's hard to count out one of the all-time greats, but if his name were "Tim Smith," I don't think he'd still be dealing in the top five.
