Jets vs. Patriots touchdown pick
Davante Adams Over 0.5 touchdowns (+123) ⭐⭐⭐
Adams was quiet last week in his first game back with Rodgers, but I’m expecting a much stronger performance against the Patriots. Even though Adams hauled in just three balls for 30 yards, he was targeted nine times.
There should also be heightened expectations on Adams after he called out his new teammates following their lopsided loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, questioning the lack of energy and urgency.
Look for Adams and Rodgers to rediscover the chemistry that led to them hooking up for 69 touchdowns in 108 games together.
The totals for Adams' receptions and receiving yards are also worth targeting in the props market. But my favorite play is for the veteran receiver to find the end zone at this plus-money price from one of our best NFL betting sites.

Breece Hall rushing yards Under 75.5 (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This number looks way too high for a running back who has rushed for more than 62 yards just once through the Jets’ first seven games. Rookie Braleon Allen continues to eat into Hall’s running attempts, as does the fact that New York heavily uses Hall in the passing game.
The Patriots’ run defense is the other part of this handicap. Although New England ranks near the bottom of the league in total rushing yards allowed, the Pats playing from behind this season skews that stat. New England was solid against the run last year and is allowing a respectable 4.4 yards per carry in 2024.
New England’s defense should also be motivated to bring a better effort after head coach Jerod Mayo called the group "soft." The Patriots held Hall to 54 yards on 16 carries when the teams met last month, and New England should be able to keep him inside this much higher number on Sunday to cash one of your NFL Week 8 predictions.

Drake Maye Over 208.5 passing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐
New England’s passing attack hasn’t looked like a 31st-ranked unit since Maye took over under center. In fact, Maye could become the first rookie since 1950 to throw for at least 240 yards and two touchdowns in each of his first three career starts.
New York’s secondary is usually tough to throw against, but the Jets are missing their top two safeties due to injury. That should open the door for Maye to hit a couple of significant plays through the air — something he’s already shown a knack for doing — and help us clear a total that's 68 yards lower than what he threw for last week against Jacksonville.
