Just like that, a 10-game win streak went up in flames for the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday as they allowed a game-winning touchdown in the closing seconds of a stunning 36-33 loss to the Washington Commanders in Week 16.

Philly was up 21-7 after the first quarter, but an early injury to Jalen Hurts and subsequent fourth-quarter collapse led the Eagles' Super Bowl odds to fall across our best Super Bowl betting sites with just two weeks left until the NFL playoffs.

Should you fade Philadelphia's title odds, or is this an ideal opportunity to buy the dip across our best NFL betting sites entering Week 17?

Eagles Super Bowl odds

Live updated Super Bowl odds from our best sports betting apps in Week 16.

Entering this week, the Eagles were dealing at no better than +480 across our best sportsbooks with the second-shortest Super Bowl odds behind only the title favorite Buffalo Bills. That all changed after Sunday's shocking result against their division rivals.

Even after forcing five turnovers, Philly's defense surrendered five passing touchdowns to Jayden Daniels - the runaway favorite by the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds - including the game-winning score to Jamison Crowder with 10 seconds left to put the nail in the Eagles' coffin.

Reasons for concern in Philly after Week 16?

When you've won 10 straight games, a three-point loss in mid-December to a division rival isn't exactly an obvious time to sound the alarm. But the nature of Sunday's loss will have some Eagles fans (and bettors) anxious about the future.

On the field, it's hard to excuse the performance of Philly's pass defense after profiling as one of the best units in football this entire season. Daniels diced 'em up for 258 yards and five touchdowns on 24-of-39 passing, and while he did thow two picks, he was sacked just once while adding another 81 yards on the ground.

The bigger concern, though, is the Eagles' own quarterback situation. Hurts left Sunday's loss in the first quarter with a concussion - the latest in a series of injuries and ailments for the two-time Pro Bowl passer. Backup QB Kenny Pickett completed 14 passes for 143 yards in his stead, and 45 of those yards came on one play.

If Hurts can't go next week, it could portend another surprise loss for Philadelphia against another division rival in the Dallas Cowboys, who are home underdogs tonight by the Sunday Night Football odds. That's a far cry from the 10-game win streak this team enjoyed mere hours ago.

Why you should bet Eagles Super Bowl odds

All of the above are real and present concerns for a team that didn't have many to speak of entering Week 16.

That said, I wouldn't expect any of them to linger into the postseason, either. Philadelphia's defense ranked in the top five in EPA per play and per pass entering this week and forced five turnovers, but its Pickett-led offense went 3-for-16 on third down and committed two turnovers of its own.

Assuming Hurts is good to go in a few weeks - and it'd be shocking if he isn't - this is still a nearly unstoppable offense on the ground with playmakers abound in the passing game. And the Eagles' defense is especially dangerous when playing with a lead as it has nearly this entire season.

Even with this loss, Philly is essentially locked into the No. 2 seed in the NFC based on the latest NFL playoff odds. That sets up a potential rematch with the Commanders or a date with the second-best team in either the NFC West or NFC South - two divisions that are struggling to produce even one clearly "good" team.

I'd certainly take the Eagles in any of those matchups, especially at home in January. And they'd likely avoid the Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, and Green Bay Packers until the NFC Championship unless two of them win in the wild-card round.

That's why I'm intrigued by Philly's best title price of +650 via FanDuel, which is a major discount from last week after a result that, in the end, likely doesn't mean much for its actual path to winning the Super Bowl.
