The Dallas Cowboys are licking their wounds after back-to-back losses to the Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers that dropped America’s Team to 3-4 on the season. The defense has been the biggest issue for Dallas, which has allowed 77 points in its last two games.

That doesn’t bode well going into Sunday’s Week 9 matchup as underdogs to the Atlanta Falcons (1 p.m. ET, FOX), who are averaging nearly 35 points per game over the past month as they climb the Super Bowl odds.

Our Cowboys vs. Falcons NFL player prop bets identify three value spots in what our Week 9 NFL predictions expect to be an exciting and high-scoring affair.

Cowboys vs. Falcons touchdown pick

Kyle Pitts first touchdown scorer (+1400) ⭐⭐

It took some time, but Kyle Pitts has developed into one of Kirk Cousins’ favorite targets in the Atlanta passing game. He’s racked up at least 65 receiving yards in four straight games, recording 27 targets during that span, after having the ball thrown his way just 15 times in the Falcons’ first four games.

More importantly for this prop, Pitts is producing big plays that can end up in the end zone. Last week versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he caught TD strikes of 36 and 49 yards, recording his first-ever multiple-touchdown game.

Those two touchdowns were Pitts’ first scores since Week 1, so oddsmakers are still posting fat numbers on him to score a touchdown (+200 at FanDuel, +175 at BetMGM.)

That play also looks attractive against a Dallas defense that allowed 128 yards last week to San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle, but FanDuel’s generous +1400 price on Pitts (BetMGM is next with +1200) makes him my favorite look in the Cowboys-Falcons first touchdown market.

Meanwhile, our Mike Spector is looking at the opposing tight end for a touchdown pick as part of his NFL Week 9 best bets.

Best Cowboys vs. Falcons prop bets

Bijan Robinson Over 101.5 rushing and receiving yards (-114)

Bijan Robinson might clear this prop on rushing yards alone. Dallas has allowed the second-most yards on the ground in the NFL this season, and things aren’t getting any better. Over the past three weeks, the Cowboys have been gashed for 5.1 yards per carry.

If Dallas does manage to contain Robinson on the ground, Atlanta’s second-year back can also hurt them in the passing game. Robinson has recorded at least 40 receiving yards in three of the Falcons’ last five games, helping him clear the century mark in yards from scrimmage in three straight and five times overall this season.

DraftKings, BetMGM, and Caesars are the best options to bet on this prop, with each of them setting Robinson’s yardage total at 101.5 - two yards lower than FanDuel.

Elsewhere, Esten McLaren thinks Robinson's backfield teammate is well-positioned to score as part of his anytime touchdown scorer predictions for Week 9.

Dak Prescott Under 0.5 interceptions (+115)

Dak Prescott is the first Cowboys quarterback in 32 years to throw multiple interceptions in three straight games. However, some of those struggles can be explained by the fierce pass rushes he’s faced during that stretch from the Pittsburgh Steelers, Detroit Lions, and San Francisco 49ers.

Atlanta’s defense, which ranks dead last in the NFL in sacks, will be a huge step down in class. With extra time to survey the field, look for Prescott to be more like the quarterback who has averaged 0.67 interceptions per game in his career.

Nearly all of the top NFL betting sites are offering plus money on this prop, which is enough for me to pull the trigger. However, you can find the best value at BetMGM and DraftKings (+115).
