Broncos vs. Bills Player Prop Picks & Touchdown Prediction: NFL Wild Card Weekend
The Buffalo Bills host the Denver Broncos as -8.5 favorites in what profiles as one of the most lopsided games of Wild Card Weekend. But we can still find value on player props for the underdogs.
Can Bo Nix and the Broncos march into Highmark Stadium before pulling off the impossible and taking down the Bills at 1 p.m. ET (CBS) on Sunday?
Our best sports betting sites certainly aren't giving them much of a chance. Thankfully, we're more concerned with certain players performing in this matchup for our Broncos vs. Bills player prop picks.

Broncos vs. Bills touchdown prediction
Courtland Sutton anytime touchdown ⭐⭐⭐
Best odds: +160 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 38.46%
One of the main reasons Nix was so successful as a rookie this season is Sutton being an absolute beast. He produced a season that reminded fans of his 2019 campaign, before injuries and poor quarterback play robbed him of four potentially quality years.
However, with Nix under center, Sutton topped 1,000 receiving yards for the second time in his career. He finished as the WR13 in half-PPR fantasy football formats thanks to that yardage total and - more importantly for this pick - eight touchdowns.
Sutton scored in three of his last four games, and he's getting a solid 0.36 TD projection for Sunday afternoon's affair. Though it doesn't appear we're getting a huge edge on this price through that projection, it's important to remember there are some elements of playoff football that I don't believe can be quantified.
In a game like this, I expect a rookie quarterback to throw to his alpha receiver more than these numbers suggest, and Sutton is projected for 5.49 catches. Increasing that number would theoretically make a touchdown more probable, which is why there's value to be found on a Sutton anytime TD.
Best Broncos vs. Bills prop picks
James Cook Over 55.5 rushing yards ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Best odds: -114 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 53.27%
I find it pretty funny when people try to boost Josh Allen's NFL MVP odds campaign by claiming he was given the least to work with offensively among the contenders. Those people fail to mention he benefits from one of the best offensive lines in football, and an elite running back to take pressure off him.
Cook is underrated really just because everyone is too busy rating Allen. Cook finished tied for the seventh-most rushing yards after contact among starting running backs, just behind Jahmyr Gibbs and Bijan Robinson.
Additionally, despite finishing 20th in rushing attempts, he was 16th in rushing yards and tied for first with 16 rushing touchdowns. The former is why I'm particularly interested in Cook's Over rushing yards for this game.
Cook didn't receive a ton of rushing volume throughout the season, finishing with just 56 attempts across his last five games. If he averaged those 11 carries across the entire season, the tailback would be in line with backs who missed time due to injury.
That means Cook should be fresh for this game. And if the Bills go up early as expected, they'll likely lean on their talented running back to slow down the game and grind out the clock.
We're expecting a close Bills win in our NFL playoff bracket predictions, so Cook will be relied upon heavily if that's the case.
Audric Estime Over 20.5 rushing yards ⭐⭐⭐⭐
