After emerging as an Offensive Rookie of the Year odds contender, Bo Nix returned to earth last week with a three-interception outing against the Indianapolis Colts that caused his odds to decrease.

Based on the Thursday Night Football odds, our Nix player prop predictions assess Nix’s chances of bouncing back with a strong performance against the Los Angeles Chargers (8:15 p.m. ET, Amazon Prime Video.)

Even if an individual accolade isn’t in the cards for Nix this season, the Denver Broncos’ surprising signal-caller could help lock up the franchise’s first playoff appearance since 2015. The below picks are part of our NFL Week 16 predictions

Bo Nix prop pick: Over 223.5 Passing Yards ⭐⭐

Nix threw for just 216 yards when these teams met in October, but a lot has changed since then, most notably his progression as an NFL quarterback.

He struggled through the first eight games but has cleared this passing yardage total in five of his last six.

The Rams' defense isn't playing as well as it did early in the year either, giving up four passing TDs last week to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and recently allowing 356 yards through the air to the Cincinnati Bengals.

bet365, DraftKings, and BetMGM had Nix's passing yards prop at 226.5 on Wednesday night, but you can find a lower bar to clear with FanDuel's 223.5. A $10 winning wager pays an $8.70 profit.

Best odds: -115 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 53.49%

Bo Nix prop pick: Under 33.5 Pass Attempts ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Head coach Sean Payton said this week that the best way to handle a road game on a short week is to keep things simple and call plays the team knows best.

If Payton follows his own advice, he should call plenty of running plays against a Chargers defense that has yielded 200-plus yards on the ground twice in the past month.

More running plays mean fewer passing attempts, especially if Denver runs the ball effectively and churns time off the clock. It’s a strategy that was effective last week for the Bucs, who threw the ball just 27 times, and we should see it from Denver as well.

Once again, FanDuel is offering the most favorable odds from our best NFL betting sites. Their 33.5 total is the same as you’ll find at DraftKings, bet365 and BetMGM, but the -114 juice at FanDuel is 10 cents cheaper than any other option.

Bo Nix prop pick: Under 21.5 Rushing Yards ⭐⭐⭐

When the Chargers have faced quarterbacks known for their rushing ability, they’ve shut them down effectively. Patrick Mahomes gained just 17 yards on four carries two weeks ago, Lamar Jackson managed just 15 yards on eight attempts, and Mahomes was limited to 12 yards on five carries in Week 4.

The Chargers should be better prepared this time after allowing Nix to run the ball six times for 61 yards in the first meeting.

Meanwhile, Nix hasn’t called his own number as much since becoming comfortable with how his offense operates. Before rushing eight times for 23 yards last week against the Indianapolis Colts, Nix had gained just nine yards on the ground in his previous four games combined.

The total for this prop has varied drastically across our best sportsbooks, so make sure you shop around. DraftKings (-110) and FanDuel (-113) listed Nix’s rushing yards prop at 21.5, one more than BetMGM and bet365.
