NFL Week 16 Best Bets: Predictions, Player Props & ATS Picks
With college football’s regular season finished, the NFL has expanded its Week 16 slate to cover the entire weekend, adding two games on Saturday to choose from while making your NFL Week 16 predictions.
- Big favorites and Super Bowl odds contenders dominated in Week 15, as field-goal plus favorites went 9-1 against the spread
- The four teams playing on Saturday are all within the top five seeds in the AFC playoff picture, meaning there could be a shift in the NFL playoff odds
- Three teams (Falcons, Browns, Titans) made quarterback changes this week
Our NFL Week 16 best bets again include the top six-point teaser parlay for the week. A four-week winning streak with such bets was halted last week.

Jahmyr Gibbs to score Over 1.5 touchdowns ⭐⭐
Best odds: +170 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 37.04%
Jahmyr Gibbs is set to be thrust into the workhorse role for the Lions now that David Montgomery has been lost for the season.
Those who are unsure about how Gibbs will fare when handling the bulk of Detroit’s rushing duties should look no further than his small sample size without Montgomery active.
Gibbs has finished with 82 yards, 126 yards with two touchdowns, and 189 yards with multiple touchdowns over three career games without Montgomery. More impressively, he did all that during the first half of his rookie season.
The tailback is a great value play to score multiple touchdowns against a Bears defense in the bottom four in rushing yards allowed and explosive rushing yards given up to running backs.
Gibbs is getting steep -310 moneyline odds (carrying a 75.61% implied probability) to score one touchdown, so backing him to score twice isn't a significant leap of faith. If he does, our $10 winning wager would net $17 in profits.
Amari Cooper Under 36.5 receiving yards ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Best odds: -118 via Caesars | Implied probability: 54.13%
New users only. Must use promo code. Min. $10 deposit. Max. additional winnings $2.5K per token. Tokens expire in 14 days. Void where prohibited. Full terms.
The Bills' defense has allowed 86 points and 1,004 yards to the Los Angeles Rams and Lions over the last two weeks. I therefore expect head coach Sean McDermott to utilize a heavy running attack this week in an attempt to keep his defense on the sideline as much as possible.
Amari Cooper was fourth in snaps among Bills wide receivers last week, and he's now been given five or fewer targets in five of six games with Buffalo. It's heavily concerning that Cooper didn't amass a single reception despite the team totaling 559 yards of offense last week.
Caesars is alone among our best sports betting sites while offering a total of 36.5 receiving yards. Other books are on the low end at 34.5.
NFL game predictions for Week 16
Commanders +3.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Best odds: -110 via DraftKings | Implied probability: 52.38%
The Eagles are amid their longest winning streak in franchise history (10 games), and an 11th straight victory this week would clinch the NFC East. I expect the Washington Commanders to do everything in their power to make sure that doesn't happen on the team's home turf.
Philadelphia’s winning run has overshadowed Washington taking nine games for the first time since 2015. And Jayden Daniels looks fully recovered from a rib injury that caused a temporary midseason slump. He's the overwhelming favorite in the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds.
Daniels is the third rookie in NFL history with 3,000-plus passing yards and 600-plus rushing yards. And I expect defensive-minded head coach Dan Quinn will find a way to slow down Saquon Barkley after he totaled 198 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns against Washington in November.
All of our NFL prop betting sites are in unison with a point spread of +3.5, but DraftKings is one of the few charging less than -115 juice.
Six-point teaser parlay: Bengals -1.5 and Bears +12.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Best odds: -120 via DraftKings | Implied probability: 54.55%
The Cincinnati Bengals face a Browns team that's committed three-plus turnovers in four straight games for the first time since 2001. That prompted a switch from Jameis Winston to Dorian Thompson-Robinson at quarterback, but the move lowers the club's ceiling.
Cleveland has scored 28 total points in three Thompson-Robinson starts. By teasing this spread down to -1, I'm backing Cincinnati to win outright, which is likely considering all six of its victories have come against teams under .500.
The second leg of the teaser is a fade of a Lions team playing its first road game since Week 12. Jared Goff is also a much more profitable ATS quarterback indoors (43-21-1 ATS) than outdoors (37-35-2).
I expect Chicago to keep that game close amid all of the defensive injuries Detroit is suffering through.
I'm making this wager at DraftKings because of its cheaper -105 odds to back the original +6.5 spread on Chicago.
