After getting blown out last week in their first game under interim coach Thomas Brown, the Chicago Bears (4-9) look to make amends on Monday Night Football when they visit the 11-2 Minnesota Vikings. Kickoff from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis is set for 8 p.m. ET (ESPN).

With Minnesota having won six straight and Chicago losing seven in a row, the host Vikings are a popular choice on the Bears vs. Vikings early picks and odds. However, the Bears took the Vikings to overtime last month in Chicago before dropping a 30-27 decision.

Can Chicago play Minnesota tough again, or will the Vikings pull away for an easy victory?

The Bears’ offense couldn’t have been any worse in its first game under Brown, managing just one first down and four total yards in the first half against the San Francisco 49ers. However, Caleb Williams and Chicago’s passing attack had averaged 275 yards per game in the three games prior after replacing offensive coordinator Shane Waldron.

Minnesota’s defense is still among the league leaders in several categories, but there are some signs of cracks. The Vikings have yielded at least 21 points in each of its last three games — including 27 to the Bears just three weeks ago — and have allowed nearly five yards per carry in their last two.

Offensively, the Vikings are as potent as they’ve been all year. Sam Darnold threw for a career-high 347 yards and five touchdowns in last week’s 42-21 win over the Atlanta Falcons, with two of those scoring strikes covering 49 yards or more.

Minnesota should be able to break off big plays again this week against a Chicago defense that allowed a whopping nine plays of 20-plus yards to San Francisco.

Moneyline

  • Vikings best odds: -300 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 75%
  • Bears best odds: +260 via DraftKings | Implied probability: 27.8%

Chicago paid just +200 on the moneyline on the lookahead lines, but those odds swelled out to as high as +260 at DraftKings following the Bears’ ugly loss in San Francisco.

FanDuel, BetMGM and Caesars all made the Vikings -300 favorites at the time of writing, the best moneyline price you could find on the hosts.

Spread

  • Vikings best odds: -6.5 (-110) via BetMGM
  • Bears best odds: +7 (-110) via DraftKings

Even though the Vikings are significant moneyline favorites, nearly all of our best sports betting apps are reluctant to favor them by a full touchdown on the point spread. DraftKings was one of the exceptions, dealing Chicago +7 at regular -110 juice, while FanDuel also offered Bears +7 but at a -120 price.

Over/Under

  • Over best odds: 43.0 (-110) via DraftKings
  • Under best odds: 44.5 (-112) via FanDuel

The Vikings’ 42-point explosion last week caused most of our best sportsbooks to raise their total from the 42.5 lookahead to as high as 44.5 at FanDuel. DraftKings appeared to take an early position on the total, however, keeping its number at 43.
