I don't really love wagering too much money on the playoffs across any sport, but I absolutely will be betting on touchdown props for Wild Card Weekend.

One of the reasons I don't like betting on the postseason is that sometimes star players just defy projections and do magical things when the stakes are high. But that makes our anytime touchdown scorer predictions potentially even more lucrative.

We're bringing you a TD pick for each Saturday game and two more for Sunday. The selections feature two of the three quarterbacks I'd be willing to reach for in fantasy football drafts next year, and then two running backs who thrived in their first year with a new team.

Let's get right into the bets as part of our NFL Wild Card Weekend predictions.

After managing to play a combined nine games across the last two seasons following a missed 2021 campaign, Dobbins was a beast this season in his Los Angeles Chargers debut.

He managed a career-high 69.6 rushing yards per game while racking up nine touchdowns, his most since an outstanding rookie season. Now Dobbins and the Chargers kick off Wild Card Weekend against the Houston Texans.

Houston doesn't represent a plus-matchup for opposing running backs, but the Texans did prove vulnerable against teams with quality running games.

Most recently, Derrick Henry scored against them in Week 17, and Tony Pollard ran wild on Houston a few games before then.

Dobbins is getting a very strong 0.66 touchdown projection for Wild Card Weekend, and I'm very happy to bet on him to score at these +130 odds. As a four-star pick, this is one of the two anytime touchdown scorer predictions that I smashed for a full unit myself.

Steelers vs. Ravens anytime touchdown scorer prediction: Lamar Jackson, Ravens, QB ⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: +240 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 29.41%

I picked Jackson to score as my best bet for our Steelers vs. Ravens prediction, and we're expecting a significant Baltimore win as part of our NFL playoff bracket predictions.

Jackson ran wild during the final five weeks of the season. He took 36 carries for 316 yards during that stretch, and his legs will surely play a major role during Saturday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The NFL MVP odds contender is projected for just 0.26 rushing touchdowns, but I'm also factoring in some of the postseason intangibles I mentioned. Star players just do star player things when the playoffs roll around, and I'm willing to bet Jackson will outperform his projection in this AFC North showdown.

Packers vs. Eagles anytime touchdown scorer prediction: Josh Jacobs, Packers, RB ⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: -105 via bet365 | Implied probability: 51.22%

Jacobs was an absolute touchdown machine this season, finding the end zone 15 times during his first campaign with the Green Bay Packers. He scored in each of his last eight games, and the veteran did so despite playing limited snaps against the New Orleans Saints and Chicago Bears.

However, the Philadelphia Eagles represent a challenging matchup. They allowed only five touchdowns to running backs this season, and Jacobs failed to reach pay dirt when these teams squared off in Week 1. But he did take 16 carries for 84 yards, adding two catches for 20 yards.

His touchdown projection for Sunday's game is 0.59, which is one of his lowest in a long time. However, these odds are also far longer than anything available for Jacobs during the second half of the season, as he was regularly trading near -200 to score.

Let's take advantage of this newfound value.

Commanders vs. Buccaneers anytime touchdown scorer prediction: Jayden Daniels, Commanders, QB ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: +185 via DraftKings | Implied probability: 35.09%

And now my favorite touchdown bet of the weekend, and it happens to fall during a very tasty prime-time game on Sunday night.

I fully expect the soon-to-be-crowned NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year to put on a show during his first taste of postseason action when Daniels leads the Washington Commanders against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And the data backs that up, too.

Daniels' rushing touchdown projection is 0.45, and yet these +185 odds carry an implied probability of just 35.09% that he scores.

The quarterback apparently dealt with some leg soreness during the team's epic Week 18 win against the Dallas Cowboys, leading to Marcus Mariota taking over under center. However, he practiced fully as early as Wednesday, and Daniels has been running wild since Week 12. Additionally, he logged four carries for 27 yards early in that contest against Dallas.

Sure, both Brian Robinson and Austin Ekeler are healthy for the Commanders, but Daniels remains the team's best runner. When your season is on the line, you give the ball to your best players and let them cook.
