Getting the Bills while laying anything less than a touchdown feels like the right side against a reeling 49ers team led by, at best, a version of Brock Purdy that is managing a shoulder injury (the 49ers QB is officially listed as questionable after a limited week of practice).
- The Bills are 7-4 against the spread, while the Niners are 4-7 ATS on the year
- Buffalo is 5-0 outright in home games this season, winning four of the five games by 6+ points and posting a 15.8-point average margin of victory
- The 49ers are 1-4 ATS on the road with the NFL’s fourth-worst average ATS margin in away games (-7.2)

While field conditions could conceivably be less than ideal, I look for San Francisco to get McCaffrey’s wheels churning by getting him the ball in space in the short passing game. The matchup against Buffalo is perfect for such a strategy.
- The Bills have allowed 69 receptions to running backs this season, more than any other team in the NFL
- McCaffrey has cleared 4.5 receptions in one of three games (1-of-2 with Purdy) this season after hitting the mark in 10-of-19 games last year
McCaffrey’s reception total is listed with even odds at DraftKings, while FanDuel offers +102 odds. At -106 odds, the prop is less valuable at Caesars.
Josh Allen Over 34.5 rushing yards (-120) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
After allowing 169 rushing yards in Green Bay last week, the 49ers should be susceptible on the ground in Buffalo on Sunday night.
- Still stout in defending the pass, San Francisco has ranked in the bottom half of the NFL in rush defense over its last three games, allowing 124.3 rushing yards per contest in that span
- The 49ers have faced only two remotely mobile quarterbacks this season, with Patrick Mahomes and Kyler Murray rushing for 39 and 83 yards, respectively
- Allen has rushed for 50 or more yards in consecutive weeks
