Women's Wooden Award Odds 2025: Hidalgo Leads Three-Player Race
With all-time great Caitlin Clark now graduated and fresh off a dominant Rookie of the Year campaign in the WNBA, there's a handful of new contenders atop the women's Wooden Award odds.
Just two months into the season it's clearly a three-player race to win the crown at our best sports betting sites. But the leading competitors will be expected to fight tooth and nail against each other in one of the highest profile races for the women's Wooden Award ever.
With Paige Bueckers' UConn Huskies, JuJu Watkins' USC Trojans, and Hannah Hidalgo's Notre Dame Fighting Irish all battling in the women's March Madness odds in addition to the individual awards, there's a ton of drama set to unfold at the top of the thriving sport.

Hannah Hidalgo (+140)
Notre Dame's Hannah Hidalgo put together a masterful freshman season, making the All-American First Team thanks to an all-around brilliant stat line that included a nation-leading 4.6 steals per game to go along with 22.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 5.5 assists.
Hidalgo has now taken her scoring up to another level, ranking second in the country with 26 points per game while shooting a remarkable 50.2% from the field and 44.4% from the 3-point line. She's putting up that production while still leading the NCAA in steals at 4.1 per contest.
Not only that, but Hidalgo's play has been lifting the Fighting Irish back to the top of the women's game after falling outside the Top 10 of the AP Poll last season. That's when they bowed out in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
Put it all together, and Hidalgo has been earning her place as the current leader for the Women's Wooden Award. But the competition is insanely fierce, with household names and uber-talented players in Bueckers and Watkins breathing down her neck.
In many normal seasons, all three would be runaway winners for the sport's top individual award. In Hidalgo's case specifically, where a $10 bet only earns $14 profit, the risk may be too great for a wager.

Paige Bueckers (+180)
Bueckers took the women's college game by storm back in 2020-21, winning the Wooden Award as just a freshman while averaging an absurd 20 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game. However, injuries have been the story of her college career since then. But she's the clear superstar on the No. 2 team in the country and is looking to get back to the pinnacle once again.
After a slow scoring start to begin the year, Bueckers now leads the Big East in scoring at 20.3 points per game, adding 4.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 2.0 steals to her outstanding tally.
There isn't a more efficient player in the women's game. Bueckers has already led the entire country in effective field-goal percentage during both of her seasons when fully healthy, and she's currently outpacing each of those campaigns with a 62.5% mark in 2024-25.
Bueckers has the full package going for her, as she's well-known with solid counting stats and a championship-contending team. The only thing working against her candidacy is the pure brilliance of Hidalgo and Watkins, and her scoring numbers would likely need to pick up a little bit for her to jump ahead of the tightly contested field.

JuJu Watkins (+225)
The third favorite for the women's Wooden Award this season is USC sophomore superstar JuJu Watkins. Had it not been for the dominance of Caitlin Clark, Watkins may very well have followed in Buecker's footsteps as a Wooden Award winner as a freshman, leading the nation in scoring at 27.1 points, adding 7.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 2.3 steals, and 1.6 blocks per game.
The expectations couldn't be any higher for Watkins this season, as she's the clear lead option on a team among the favorites for the national championship.
Though Watkins' numbers are slightly down from her outstanding freshman campaign, she's become much more efficient while increasing all of her shooting percentages and lowering turnovers. The result has been an excellent USC Trojans squad with a real chance at winning the March Madness title.
And plus, while her scoring may be slightly down, she's still averaging a gaudy 25.3 points per game, adding 5.6 rebounds, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.1 steals. Watkins has done nothing to remove her status as one of the most skilled big guards the women's college game has ever seen.
She somehow sits third in the race behind two equally impressive candidates. But if all three are truly contenders to win the award, there may be value on Watkins with the longest odds at +225.
