All eyes and our college basketball bets for Tuesday will be on the only matchup of the night featuring two ranked teams.

No. 6 Purdue (4-0) and No. 15 Marquette (4-0) will square off at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee at 9 p.m. ET. The much-anticipated showdown will be broadcast on FS1.

Marquette enters as a 5.5-point favorite, but will Purdue deliver an upset to shake up the national championship odds? And which other games do we like plays from on Tuesday?

Purdue has had to experience life without Zach Edey this year, but Marquette is also replacing the engine of its offense in point guard Tyler Kolek.

Jones has stepped up in Kolek’s absence as a walking bucket, averaging 24 points per game, and he scored 28 on 18 shots in a road win over Maryland on Friday. However, he finished with just one assist in that game.

Jones isn’t the same facilitator as Kolek, and Marquette doesn’t need him to be. The Golden Eagles need him to get his shots up, which he will in this game. With Caesars charging as much as -131 for this Under, I’ll scoop up bet365’s bargain.

Zeke Mayo 15-plus points ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Mayo told reporters he’s in a shooting slump after going 5-for-17 over his last two games. But that hasn’t stopped Bill Self from trusting the Kansas guard, as Mayo has played 60 minutes over that span.

That’s because Mayo does many different things to help the Jayhawks win. A matchup against UNC Wilmington could help break him out of his offensive slump. The Seahawks are 215th in adjusted defensive efficiency.

Most prop betting sites charge around -131 for Mayo to score 14 points, so I’d instead take the +100 value on this alternate market at DraftKings. Mayo scored 40 points in his first two games, so he can quickly clear this mark if his shots fall on Tuesday.

Louisville to cover the spread (-24.5) vs. Bellarmine ⭐⭐⭐⭐

If anyone followed my (4-0) picks from the opening night of the college basketball season, they would know that I recommended betting on Louisville to cover a big number. The theory behind the play was that the Cardinals would do a better job when having a talent advantage in the Pat Kelsey era.

The Cardinals crushed Morehead St. by 38 points before losing by 22 to Tennessee on Saturday. A home meeting with Bellarmine (No. 329 overall on Bart Torvik) provides a perfect bounce-back opportunity for Louisville.

Kelsey went 53-6 against Quad 3 and Quad 4 teams in his last two years at Charleston. He knows how to crush inferior teams, so the market has pushed this line from -24 to as high as -25.5. Bet this at -25.5 or better.

Purdue to cover the spread (+5.5) vs. Marquette ⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: -110 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 52.38%

I thought I might be on Marquette based on the opening line of -3, but the market has pushed this into a buying opportunity for Purdue with its current 5.5-point spread. That’s what happens when you bet numbers and not teams.

KenPom projects a 78-76 win for Marquette, suggesting this game will be within a single possession. Nobody on the Golden Eagles (other than Jones) has shot the ball well enough to expect them to win by two possessions.

Marquette ranks 234th with a 3-point percentage of 30.4%.

Purdue, meanwhile, is fifth in the country with a 46% clip from long range. If the shots are falling on Tuesday, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Boilermakers earn an upset win on the road.
