The Golden State Warriors suffered their worst loss of the season on Friday, falling 136-117 to the undefeated Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Oklahoma City Thunder suffered their first and only loss of the season Wednesday with a two-point defeat at the hands of the Denver Nuggets, but remain the NBA Championship odds favorite in the West.

Golden State won the first meeting with Oklahoma City last season, but it was all Thunder after that, as OKC won the final three head-to-head matchups, including two overtime victories.

Our Warriors vs. Thunder player props target two Thunder stars who are sizzling through the first three weeks of the season, including the NBA MVP odds favorite.

We’re also looking at a superstar guard whose scoring prop is set far too low when these two teams clash at 7:00 p.m. ET from Paycom Center in Oklahoma City.

Holmgren was phenomenal as a rookie last season, but he’s been even better through nine games of the 2024-25 campaign. The big man has never heard of a sophomore slump, as he’s averaging 18.2 points, 9.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists.

OKC’s big man is averaging 29.6 PRAs this season. He’s hit the Over on this line four times and posted exactly 28 PRAs in one other game. Golden State has allowed the sixth-most rebounds to opponents this season, making this a favorable matchup for the Thunder’s starting center.

Holmgren was great against the Warriors as a rookie, and he averaged 23.5 points, 8.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists in four matchups. He hit the Over on this line in three of four against Golden State, and we’re betting on him doing it again in his first matchup with the Warriors this season.

The Warriors are 7-2 this season and sport the third-best point differential in the Association at a healthy +12. Golden State has played in numerous blowout wins and suffered a blowout loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, which has limited the starters’ minutes.

Curry is averaging just 19.7 points per game across 26.8 minutes in six appearances, and he’s hit the Over in two contests. He’s logged 30 or minutes only once this season, and in that game (a win over the Boston Celtics), he dropped a season-high 27 points.

Sunday’s matchup should be a close one, and we’re counting on Curry seeing plenty of playing time. He’s been big against the Thunder over the last two seasons, averaging 33.5 points and hitting the Over in all six matchups. This line is set far too low based on early-season performances, and we’ll hammer the Over.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 27.5 points ⭐⭐⭐⭐

After averaging better than 30 points per game in each of the last two seasons, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's scoring average has fallen to 26.3 through nine games of the 2024-25 season. Despite the dip in scoring average, we’ll take the Over in this premier matchup.

Gilgeous-Alexander has scored 28 or more points in five of nine games this season (55.56%). That means we’re getting this prop at a slight discount, which makes it an even more favorable wager.

SGA has gotten up against Golden State over the last two seasons. He’s averaged 31.1 points across his last seven matchups with the Warriors and hit the Over five times.
