Memphis center Jaren Jackson Jr. loves to fire up trailing 3-pointers in transition, but I expect more attempts against Minnesota’s drop coverage. Jackson averages 1.8 makes on 5.2 attempts from long range this season.
The forward enters this game with some momentum from deep. He's hit five triples over his last two outings and multiple 3-pointers in three of his past four games. More importantly, Jackson has attempted 16 shots from distance in the previous two contests.
I’ll bet on that kind of volume in this matchup.

In a volatile NBA Rookie of the Year odds race, Memphis’ Jaylen Wells might have established himself as the favorite on Friday. He scored 22 points on 8-of-11 shooting over 35 minutes against the Spurs.
But Wells only finished with three rebounds during that performance. It marked his fifth consecutive game with three or fewer rebounds. I don’t expect that trend to end against a lineup that boasts as much length as the Timberwolves.
I project Wells to finish below three boards, showing an edge on this Under at FanDuel. This ticket costs as much as -125 at DraftKings.

Mike Conley prop pick: Under 9.5 points ⭐⭐⭐
Veteran point guard Mike Conley averaged 24 minutes in Minnesota’s back-to-back set over the weekend. That’s down from his season average of 26 minutes per contest, despite the Wolves missing Donte DiVincenzo for those two games.
DiVincenzo remains out, but I’m not sure that’s good for Conley. He’s scored 22 points over the previous two contests, largely due to some efficient shooting from deep (6-for-11). But Conley has reached double figures in only two of his 10 games this month.
I’d be surprised if Conley does much damage against this Memphis defense. This line is as high as -135 at some of our best NBA betting sites, indicating the discount at DraftKings.
