In the final game of the CFL season, the Toronto Argonauts look to upset the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the Grey Cup on Sunday at 6 p.m. ET (TSN/RDS, CFL+) from BC Place in Vancouver, B.C.

  • Our Argonauts vs. Blue Bombers prediction expects Toronto to struggle without star QB Chad Kelly
  • Winnipeg was longer than +800 by the Grey Cup odds at the end of July before going on a 10-1 run
  • The Blue Bombers only two losses since July 27 came to the Argonauts

With Kelly out, can Argos backup QB Nick Arbuckle upset the best team in the CFL on the biggest stage?

Argonauts vs. Blue Bombers prediction: Most Outstanding Players the difference

CFL picks confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale.

Blue Bombers -8.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

While Toronto will be without last year's CFL Most Outstanding Player in Kelly, Winnipeg has ridden this year's winner to its fifth straight Grey Cup appearance.

Brady Oliveira, who took home his second-straight CFL Most Outstanding Canadian award on Thursday, has been an unstoppable force this season. The CFL's leading rusher with 1,353 yards should expose an Argos defense that's given up 498 yards and 33 points per game in the playoffs.

The Bombers, thanks to being built for bad weather thanks to Oliveira, will benefit if the roof is left open at BC Place. And if it's closed, Zach Collaros should continue cooking - he's thrown 12 touchdowns and just one interception in his last five starts.

Nick better buckle up for the Bombers' defense

With Kelly out, veteran Nick Arbuckle will be under center for Toronto. While he was serviceable this season, he's thrown more interceptions (32) than touchdowns (27) in his CFL career.

He's going to have a tough time against the best defense in the league. Winnipeg allowed the fewest yards per game (339.1) and points per game (20.3) while holding opposing passers to the second-lowest QB rating in the CFL (90.7).

Without Kelly, it's hard to imagine Toronto scoring enough to cover. If the Bombers take the title by nine-plus points, a $10 bet pays an $8.70 profit.
