World Series Odds & Favorites 2025: Dodgers Still Favorites, Red Sox in Top 10

The Los Angeles Dodgers remain in a tier by themselves in the World Series odds after flexing their muscle throughout the offseason.
The Dodgers added several significant talents to a roster that was already brimming with skill. Los Angeles is the faraway front-runner to repeat as World Series champions as a result, with the Yankees notably behind by the odds in second.
The latter did plenty this offseason after losing Juan Soto. He went across town to the Mets, who recently retained Pete Alonso and sit in fourth. Elsewhere in the AL, the Red Sox recently bolstered their roster, signing Alex Bregman to keep up with the Yankees.
Spring training is now in full swing, so let's take a deeper look at the odds while making our World Series predictions.
World Series odds 2025
The World Series odds are from our best MLB betting sites and are subject to change.
Here are some quick takeaways:
- There's unsurprisingly a significant gap between the Dodgers and the rest of the field, with the star-studded defending champs getting a 25% implied probability compared to the Yankees' 11.11%
- The top-heavy odds feature just three teams receiving a price of +1000 or shorter
- The Dodgers boast two front-runners in the MLB MVP odds, including favorite Shohei Ohtani, who will return to the mound this season
- Incredibly, the Dodgers also feature three pitchers in their starting rotation who are among the top 10 on the NL side in the Cy Young odds
- For the also unsurprising cherry on top, Ohtani is among the favorites in the home run leader odds after clubbing a career-high 54 last season, finishing second behind only the Yankees' Aaron Judge
- However, as much as the attention is understandably on the Dodgers after their stellar offseason, the Red Sox have been rising after signing Bregman, with Boston moving from +4000 to +2500

Dodgers World Series odds (+300)

The Dodgers captured the last World Series with half a starting rotation. Now, they've signed a budding star in Sasaki and two-time Cy Young winner Blake Snell to add to a group of studs set to return from various injuries. Tyler Glasnow, Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Sasaki, and Snell form the Dodgers' projected starting rotation and make up the best No. 1 through 5 in all of baseball.
However, a team hasn't repeated as the World Series champion since the Yankees did so in 1999 and 2000 (after winning in 1998, too). Can Los Angeles accomplish what no other club has managed to do in this millennium?
And though the Dodgers didn't land Soto, their offense remains strong after bringing back Teoscar Hernandez and adding Michael Conforto and Hyeseong Kim.
This could be a dynasty in the making with Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Ohtani, and Sasaki all together for the next few years at least. In other words, yes, the Dodgers can absolutely repeat.

Yankees World Series odds (+800)
Many fans in the Bronx were left feeling embarrassed after half of New York's superstar outfield duo jumped ship for Queens when Soto departed. The Yankees wasted no time reinvesting that money elsewhere, as they've been busy throughout the offseason.
The 27-time World Series champions have already filled the gap next to Aaron Judge in the outfield after trading with the Chicago Cubs for Cody Bellinger. They also traded for All-Star closer Devin Williams from the Milwaukee Brewers to bolster their bullpen. Furthermore, the Yankees signed starting pitcher Max Fried and first baseman Paul Goldschmidt to free-agent deals.
The Bronx Bombers are dead-set on getting back to the World Series as they pursue their first pennant since 2009.
Caesars carries the most favorable line on the Yankees to win the 2025 World Series at +800. That number comes with an implied probability of 11.11%.

Mets World Series odds (+1200)
The Mets went on an incredible second-half run during the 2024 campaign and looked like they were maybe one or two significant pieces away from being true contenders. Well, there was no piece larger than Soto this offseason.
One of baseball's best hitters (arguably the best) joins a lineup featuring perennial NL MVP contender Francisco Lindor and rising star Mark Vientos to form a terrifying top of the order. And now it's officially a quartet after New York brought back Alonso.
The Mets still need to make other moves before I consider the club a real challenger to the Dodgers, especially as L.A. continues to make superstar additions of its own. But the team remains in the mix.

How to read World Series futures
Every team is given World Series odds that shift throughout the season. Many factors can influence the movement of those numbers. A team's play is the most obvious, but injuries and transactions also contribute.
The top teams on the World Series futures oddsboard are deemed the most likely to win, with the opposite true for the bottom clubs. Bettors lock in wagers at current odds, and winning bets are paid out at the end of the season.
For example, a $10 bet at +1500 odds would pay out $150.
World Series spreads explained
Bettors can wager on the run line in each World Series game, just as they can throughout the regular season. For example, if one team is favored by -1.5 runs, that club needs to win by at least two runs for the wager to cash.
World Series moneyline odds explained
Teams involved in the World Series will get moneyline odds for both each game, and the series as a whole. The odds indicate which team is favored to win.
For example, if a team is a -120 favorite, that translates to a 54.6% probability of winning, and a $10 wager on that line would result in $8.33 in profit. Meanwhile, an underdog getting +115 odds is receiving a 46.5% chance to win, and the same wager would lead to an $11.50 win.
