We browse the early odds board in search of MLB betting value on Sunday's card. Read on and find two selections that will maximize your profits before the week ends.

Orioles vs. Athletics

Right-hander Jeremy Hellickson (7-6, 4.45 ERA, 1.23 WHIP) takes the hill for the Orioles after giving up three earned runs on six hits and one walk with nine strikeouts over six in a 3-2 loss against the Angels last Tuesday. Hellickson is 4-0 with a 3.25 ERA in 10 day starts and he's posted a 2.08 ERA in two starts with the Orioles.

Kendall Graveman (2-3, 4.97 ERA, 1.42 WHIP) will get the ball for the Athletics, looking for his first win since April 8. Graveman allowed four runs (three earned) on seven hits with one walk and two strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings of a 7-6 loss against the Mariners last Tuesday and he's 0-1 with a 12.68 ERA over his last two starts. I'm taking the Orioles at -123 MLB odds, as Graveman is really struggling right now.

Padres vs. Dodgers

Luis Perdomo (6-6, 4.81 ERA, 1.56 WHIP) will start for the Padres after dominating the Reds on Monday, when he gave up two earned runs on seven hits with four walks and seven strikeouts over six innings of a 7-3 win. Perdomo is just 2-4 with a 4.37 ERA in nine road starts and the current Dodgers lineup is hitting .422 against him.

Kenta Maeda (10-4, 3.69 ERA, 1.14 WHIP) will make his 21st appearance (19th start) for the Dodgers, as he tries to win his fifth consecutive decision.

Maeda allowed one earned run on four hits (one home run) with one walk and six strikeouts to get a no-decision in a 6-3 loss against the Diamondbacks last Tuesday and he's posted a 2.08 ERA, an 0.99 WHIP and a 4.78 strikeout-to-walk ratio (K/BB) in 47 2/3 innings over his last 10 appearances (eight starts), but he's pitched more than five innings just twice in that span.

I'm taking the Dodgers on the runline with my MLB picks despite Maeda's relative inability to pitch deep into games.
