MLB 2024 hits leader favorite
Freddie Freeman (+1000 via bet365)
Arraez is the odds-on favorite and Acuna is the reigning king, but Freeman gets my vote as the true favorite in this market for the 2024 season.
Freeman finished just six hits behind Acuna last year and now gets added protection in the heart of the Los Angeles Dodgers' lineup courtesy of the arriving Shohei Ohtani. However, what we'll need to track in the coming months is how the Dodgers plan to structure their order.
Los Angeles' first baseman gets a big boost in this market if the Dodgers plan to slot him into the No. 2 spot, as pitchers would be more likely to attack him with Ohtani hitting behind. However, if Freeman is set to hit third, we may turn our attention to Acuna as our favorite.
MLB 2024 hits leader odds: Contender
Corey Seager (+2800 via Caesars)
Seager finished with 156 hits in just 119 games during the 2023 season, and he owned the league's fifth-best batting average and fourth-best expected batting average, according to Statcast.
If Seager can remain healthy in 2024, he'll be a contender for multiple awards and statistics-based markets.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (+8000 via bet365)
The best way to target long-shot bets in these markets is to find players due for positive regression. And Vladimir Guerrero Jr. certainly fits that bill.
The Toronto Blue Jays first baseman finished just outside the top 30 in hits, though his .264 batting average was more than 30 points lower than his expected mark of .295. That was the biggest discrepancy between the two numbers among everyday players. Guerrero will be a real contender to lead the league in hits if he can get more batted-ball luck in 2024.
The outlier price on Vlad through bet365 is also appealing. The +8000 on him through that shop is far longer than the +5000 at Caesars.
