It appears the New York Yankees are dead-set on going out sad, as things went from bad to worse in a Game 3 loss at home that featured premature home run celebrations, bad sends, and plenty of strikeouts against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Monday night was once again all about World Series MVP odds favorite Freddie Freeman, who homered for the third straight game in this series and his fifth Fall Classic contest in a row.

Meanwhile, Aaron Judge and Co. struck out 11 times and managed only two extra-base hits in the 4-2 defeat. For those interested in a Judge prop, we looked at the best bet for him with our Dodgers vs. Yankees prediction.

We had to dig deep for these Dodgers vs. Yankees player prop bets, since the World Series odds favorites are expected to remove their half of pitching props from the equation with a bullpen game.

Taking the mound for the New York is Luis Gil, who will be tasked with throwing the game's first pitch at 8:08 p.m. ET (FOX) from Yankee Stadium with his team's season on the line.

Fear not, though, we're hitting you with three tasty player props for what could be the final MLB game of the season.

Best Dodgers vs. Yankees prop bets

Luis Gil Over 2.5 walks (+145)

We made this exact same bet when Gil started against the Cleveland Guardians in the ALCS, and it was fairly sweat-free. So we're going back to the well on one of the game's most electric but chaotic starting pitchers.

Gil struck out an impressive 10.15 batters per nine in his rookie campaign, but he also walked 4.57, leaving much to be desired from his 14.8% strikeout to walk rate.

For Tuesday's start, Gil is projected to walk 2.78 batters. That projection represents a little better than a coin flip in our favor, and we're getting odds significantly better than 50/50.

In fact, the implied probability associated with this +145 price is just over 40%, which is why we're seeing that his bet is showing nearly 29% positive expected value.

Anthony Rizzo Over 0.5 hits (-115)

We took the Over on Rizzo's runs scored on Monday and hit on a very nice +210. We're not seeing quite as much value on that prop for Game 4, but the Over on his hits more than makes up for it.

Rizzo has been one of the Yankees better hitters throughout the postseason but still doesn't get the respect he deserves.

These -115 odds for a hit are among the longest for all batters on Tuesday, despite the fact that Rizzo recorded one of New York's five base knocks in Game 3.

I'm not as confident in Rizzo coming around to score in Game 4, but I think he'll do his part. A winning $10 wager would result in $8.70 in profit.

Best odds: -115 via BetMGM | Implied probability: 53.49%

Freddie Freeman Over 0.5 runs (+125)

Of course, we couldn't put together player props for Tuesday without acknowledging the probable World Series MVP.

Freeman is nearly singlehandedly destroying the Yankees - if not literally then he's certainly crushing their spirit.

The first baseman has, of course, gone Over this total in three straight games with home runs in each of them.

I'm not looking at any projections for this one for the same reason I try to avoid making daily bets in the playoffs. At a certain point, in all sports, you just can't account for the things some players do in the postseason.

Freeman is playing on one ankle and is one Dodgers win away from winning World Series MVP. He's hitting for more power than Judge, running the bases faster than Giancarlo Stanton (though most grandmothers could do the same), and is batting .333 for the series to Juan Soto's .300.

Back Freeman to have one more monster game.
