The PGA Tour returns to VidantaWorld in Vallarta, Mexico, for this week's event with Akshay Bhatia as the betting favorite by the Mexico Open odds in an underwhelming 132-man field.
A two-time PGA Tour winner, Bhatia's best odds this week are +1400 for a 6.67% implied win probability. Stephan Jaeger, Patrick Rodgers, Kurt Kitayama, and Samuel Stevens are also among the betting favorites in the Mexico Open field.

Norrman enters this week at No. 233 in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR). But he's started 2025 with four straight made cuts on the PGA Tour, and he was off last week following a T-71 finish in the WM Phoenix Open.
The 27-year-old has one PGA Tour win (2023 Barbasol Championship) and another DP World Tour win (2023 Horizon Irish Open). He played Vidanta Villarta each of the last two years with a T-18 finish in 2023 and a missed cut last year.
Norrman ranks second in this week's watered-down field with 0.89 strokes gained: off-the-tee across his last 12 rounds. He's also averaged 0.68 SG: approach and 1.20 SG: tee-to-green per round across that same span.
I'd also double down on the +350 odds from Caesars for Norrman to finish in the top 20 of the Mexico Open.

Bhatia enters this week at No. 30 in the OWGR following a T-9 finish in the Genesis Invitational. He hasn't missed a cut since the Wyndham Championship last summer. Vidanta Villarta shares similarities to Torrey Pines (South), emphasizing length off the tee.
Bhatia has played this event once in the last three years, finishing fourth in 2023. The 23-year-old California native has two PGA Tour victories in California and Texas.
I'm going to pass on betting on Bhatia as the tournament favorite. We can find better value on long shots without a true top favorite in attendance.
