The UTSA Roadrunners will look to take care of business against the depleted Coastal Carolina Chanticleers.

The Chanticleers have so many players out that making the best Coastal Carolina vs. UTSA player prop picks for the Myrtle Beach Bowl feels a little random.

The Roadrunners are favored by 11.5 points in Monday’s 11 a.m. ET (ESPN) game in Conway, S.C., and that may not be enough points.

Coastal Carolina enters this game without a single quarterback who has completed a pass this season, which is why we faded it in our Coastal Carolina vs. UTSA prediction.

Will the Chanticleers be able to find offense, or will the Roadrunners blow them out in a convincing fashion?

Despite splitting time with Robert Henry all season, High still managed to score seven rushing touchdowns. He has scored four in his last three games, and he’s coming off his first multi-touchdown game of the season. Henry didn’t play in that game.

Henry is listed as questionable for this game, and UTSA is being very quiet about his status. However, our best sports betting sites aren’t listing any props for Henry, and they’re offering favorable lines and odds for High, which makes it seem as though Henry will miss this game.

Whether High is alone in the backfield or not, this is a great matchup. The Chanticleers are without six defensive linemen, three linebackers, and seven members of the secondary. High was very effective against a solid Army Black Knights defense. Against this depleted unit, he’s in for a huge game.

McCoy finished the year with the most yards of any Roadrunner, compiling 536 throughout the season. He caught a 40-yard pass in seven of his 10 games. Considering he had multiple receptions in all but one of his games this season, it’s not hard to see why he topped 47.5 in seven games.

The Chanticleers are without nearly their entire defensive front and most of their secondary. McCoy and quarterback Owen McCown have the opportunity to connect on many big plays just like they’ve done all season. McCoy could get this on one play, so if you’re looking for a good alt line, consider taking McCoy to go over 60 or even 70 yards.

Tad Hudson Over 167.5 passing yards ⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: -114 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 53.27%

Hudson hasn’t thrown a single pass this season, but he gets to take on one of the worst pass defenses in football. The Roadrunners are allowing 286.9 passing yards per game this season, and even though most of their defense is playing this week, this is still a very favorable matchup, even for an inexperienced quarterback.

While I don’t expect the Chanticleers to light up the scoreboard, they should be able to move the ball through the air, especially if they fall behind. After all, Army threw for 190 yards against this defense, and the Black Knights average the fewest passing yards per game.

Both FanDuel and BetMGM have the total set at 167.5, though FanDuel is asking a slightly better price for the Over. Even though this number is very low, I can’t make this more than a three-star play because Hudson is very much an unknown.
