Sports Leagues to Bet On

vbet features a multitude of sports bettors enjoy wagering on. In fact, the wide variety of sports and betting markets that are available at vbet can be overwhelming at times.

NFL Betting

There is no shortage of markets for NFL fans to bet on at vbet. The main Moneyline, spread, and Over/Under markets are of course covered, and there are plenty of game and player props for each individual matchup. Their futures markets are limited — you’ll only be able to wager on the Super Bowl winner, conference winner, division winner, and “season specials” which at the time of writing is just if a team will go 17-0.

The options seem endless for the NFL, but the vig that you’ll pay on ML and spread bets is offputting. For player props, they’re actually better than popular sportsbook bet365 for markets like touchdown scorer but are paying at least eight cents or more of vig for receiving yards props.

NBA Betting

There's no shortage of betting options for NBA fans, as vbet offers ML, spread, and total plays for every game on the schedule. You can also wager on quarterly or halftime options and daily player props. You’ll even be able to bet on which team finishes with more rebounds assists, and three-pointers, which is something I haven’t seen at other sportsbooks.

College Football

vbet has ML, spread, and O/U plays for all Division I college football games on any given Saturday during the season, along with a large assortment of quarter-by-quarter or halftime plays. You can also wager on team props. 

College Basketball

If you want to experience a college basketball sweat, vbet has you covered. ML, spread, O/U markets are of course offered for full-time and half-time in addition to team props like total points. 

While they do offer college basketball and that should be commended. However, the selection is so bare that it's clear they do not put much effort into this sport. Its future bets are also limited, as it currently offers no markets for conference winners. 

NHL Betting

vbet does well to appeal to the puckheads that preside in Canada, offering a healthy number of NHL hockey markets every day during the season and into the Stanley Cup playoffs. In addition to ML, puckline, and total plays, bettors have access to team and player props and period-specific betting markets. 

The prices on its ML markets are surprisingly competitive, and I was shocked by how much better the odds offered for goalscorers were than at some other sportsbooks. It shows how much they care about Canadian customers if they’re putting this much effort into its NHL product.

MLB Betting

How do you make a summer afternoon even better? By firing up your vbet account and placing some baseball wagers. vbet offers comprehensive MLB markets for pre-game bets (ML, runline, total) and in-game action (five innings ML/RL, player props, team props). 

Other Sports Leagues

For a lesser-known sportsbook, vbet offers a wide array of different sports and leagues of popular sports to bet on. If you like betting on basketball, you would expect odds for the NBA to be available. What you might not expect is access to odds from approximately 20 countries around the world. You’ll be able to wager on all five major European soccer leagues, plus MLS and other leagues from around the world. Tennis, UFC, NASCAR, golf, and e-Sports such as Dota 2 are also covered, and you can even bet on the outcomes of political elections if that interests you.

vbet has odds available for many sports you probably didn’t know had betting markets. They offer alpine skiing, bandy, water polo, snooker, squash, surfing, netball, floorball, kabaddi, and chess.

Website Experience

The desktop experience for vbet can feel a bit overwhelming at first, but once you get the hang of it I found it to be a smooth experience for the most part. What’s nice about it is the option for different layouts. The “event view” is the standard one most bettors have come to expect — available sports on the left, betting markets in the middle, and bet slip on the right. The “live calendar” option is helpful for those who like to bet on popular sports but more obscure leagues. Select basketball for example, and not only will you get NBA and NCAA lines, but also games from Argentina and Panama. I’d love to see this sortable by player props, but as of right now only ML, spread, and totals are available.

The “results” page is confusing and frankly doesn’t belong on a betting site. The fact that it doesn’t show historical lines and just results mean bettors can just ignore this. Their “statistics” page has potential, but bettors may want to look at other spots for their numbers. They still have last season’s coaches live for some NHL teams!

Mobile Betting and Betting App

The vbet mobile app is one of the better betting apps I have come across doing these reviews. The colour scheme is a basic white and grey with orange text odds but it works well on the screen. Featured games, popular games, and upcoming matches are shown on the main page when you open the app, but you can easily sort by different sports and leagues by clicking the “games” button at the bottom. Live betting is also very easy on the mobile app, as all you have to do is hit the “live” tab on the games page.

The app is smooth, easy to use, and frankly a better experience than the desktop website. A lot of sportsbooks could take a lesson on how seamless the vbet app is.

Live Betting

Live betting at vbet is a straightforward process. On the desktop website, just click the “live” tab on the top left corner and you’ll have a great selection of live betting markets to choose from. Everything from soccer, basketball, hockey, e-Sports, and even archery shooting. On the mobile app, the live odds take a few seconds to load but once they do you’ll have the same selection as the website.

In terms of the actual live odds offered, they’re on par with other sportsbooks available to Canadians. In fact, they are sometimes better than Pinnacle.
