On the negative side, Fitzdares has a light FAQ section and doesn't provide the most diverse payment options. For example, some of the most widely used digital wallets, like PayPal, are unavailable.

Fitzdares has been around for nearly 140 years if you were to follow the company’s extensive timeline of acquisitions. In fact, it used to accept wagers via carrier pigeons. The sportsbook’s founder, Balthazar Fabricius, was named after a character from a novel entitled The Beastly Beatitudes of Balthazar B. The love interest of Balthazar in the story is Elizabeth Fitzdare, and Fabricius named the company after her character.
