World Series Futures Odds for 2023 Season

The Houston Astros, who emerged victorious in the World Series last fall, are the team that everyone is after in preparation for the October playoffs, according to the forecasts of various associated MLB betting sites. While the New York Mets and San Diego Padres responded to their missed chances for a championship title last year, the Los Angeles Dodgers did not focus on recruiting new stars as much.

This raises the question of whether the Dodgers' quieter off-season has made them an even more appealing choice in the world of futures betting odds.

MLB Futures Betting

Before a new season begins, oddsmakers at the leading sportsbooks will assess the strengths and weaknesses of each team. They will then assign odds on each team winning the World Series. It starts with a favorite and then goes all the way down to the complete outsider. These futures betting lines shift over the course of the season, depending on how well each team is playing.

You will also find futures options on the winner of the American League, the National League and each individual division. There are futures wagers available on player markets too, such as the Cy Young Award, the MVP and Rookie of the Year in each league, most saves, most steals, most runs, most strikeouts and so on.
